Arguments in favor of VEDIS

  • VEDIS physicians are among the pioneers of laser treatment and have a well-documented vast medical and surgical experience. Over 7000 major operations yearly (including about 3000 in the domain of refractive surgery) require a professional and reliable operation management, which benefits our clients at VEDIS. And the services provided by Clinic Pallas cover the entire spectrum of ophthalmology, which further deepens our knowledge and experience.
  • Our competent team is also at your disposal around the clock in case of an emergency.
  • Special techniques ensure that the highest security is maintained even in exceptional situations. For instance: uninterrupted power supply in case of a sudden interruption in the electric system, shock absorbers that reduce even the smallest vibrations in the laser room to guarantee the high precision of the laser, and a special climate control system to maintain the right temperature and air humidity for the operation.
  • All relevant modern technologies and methods are available at the VEDIS eye laser centers. Several different lasers are used at VEDIS. Our physicians are therefore always able to choose and apply the technique that is best suited to the specific case of each patient.
  • One of the most important factors for the success of a correction by laser surgery is the preliminary examination. Our physicians are on the conservative side with their diagnosis: an operation is recommended only if the examining physician is convinced that it will be successful. So please do not feel disappointed if we do not recommend a surgical treatment in your case. The diagnoses are also regularly reviewed in the framework of Quality Assurance.
  • We avoid infections by the most simple and effective technique: the use of disposable products only (e.g. blades for the microkeratome, suction rings and treatment conuses, etc.). None of these items is used more than once.
  • The supporting team is as important for the success of the operation as the surgeon. Our team profits from continuous training and the large number of operations ensures that it is enormously experienced.
  • The follow-up controls after the operation are of the utmost importance, in order to detect possible complications immediately and counteract them. As a rule, our follow-up visits are therefore carried out by the surgeon who performed the operation.
